We now have an exciting opportunity for an Education and Care Coordinator to join our close-knit and highly supportive team in Port Fairy, VIC.

The Opportunity

Within this pivotal role, you will spearhead the provision of high-quality educational and care services, meticulously upholding compliance and surpassing legislative requirements. Your adept leadership will extend to nurturing community connection and engaging stakeholders, ultimately culminating in superlative experiences and results for the children and their families.

Core duties:

  • Effectively coordinate service delivery and provide leadership to the team members and volunteers across our education and care programs.
  • Liaise with relevant Council team members in regard to capital improvements, ongoing maintenance of relevant buildings and risk management.
  • Prepare, monitor and report on activities and compliance of Early Years Education and Care Services for Council, regulatory and funding agencies.
  • Lead the Early Years Services team in developing, implementing and maintaining relevant and appropriate guidelines, policies, frameworks and corporate goals and plans.
  • Manage the performance and opportunities for team members to develop and expand knowledge through involvement in appropriate programs and training and identify training needs in accordance with budgetary limitations.

Furthermore, you will actively lead change management efforts, propelling a relentless pursuit of enhancement to attain and exceed the objectives of the council.

To excel in this position, you should hold a Degree or Diploma in a pertinent field, coupled with extensive and diverse engagement within the Early Years Education and Care domain or its equivalent. Your background should encompass a profound grasp of compliance and hands-on experience orchestrating the planning, coordination, and evaluation of early years or analogous professional service provisions.
